I got picked on for it back in middle school, and I got a bit of teasing about it from my own friends as well. It wasn’t so much that I wanted to be a different race; I just didn’t like that I was Asian.
But that’s all in the past. I am VERY proud to be Asian (Vietnamese) now! :)
